Exactly right; I agree completely on the "pancake" issue. OTOH, when all the usual lens controls are handled on the body, then I suppose it makes sense to minimize the lens itself. Too bad these things have sacrificed some useful speed in the interests of unnecessary compactness. I am very pleased though with the FA Limiteds... :)
