It IS moving to the future. A future without aperture simulators. I don't know, nor do I care, about the whys and wherefores, but it IS the future for Pentax and you can accept it or move on.
Dude, I made my feelings clear when I didn't see an upgrade to the *ist D in the works almost 2 years ago and switched brands. Why don't you make your feelings clear and dump Pentax and switch to Canon as you keep threatening. Oh, I know why you're bitter now. Your K/M lenses aren't worth shit because of the green-button-no-aperture-simulator thing. You're just pissed because you won't make money off your old lenses....
