They are a business Tom.
Businesses tend to operate on the theory that monetary self interest is
an important factor in the business plan.

The new format is what did it for me.
That and being able to take advantage of auto focus, which my old K
lenses didn't do very well.

My K lenses don't autofocus well either.  Must be defective.
