Anybody can give anybody advice. You are not required to take that advice. I despise AOL because they ripped me off, and kept coming back and trying to do it again, over and over, for years. They've gotten in trouble for this recently. I suggest you do a Google search on AOL fraud and read some of the hits you will get. They've fraudulently taken millions of dollars from people. You may be a fine person. Your boss may be a fine person. But the people making corporate decisions are not.
