The later AF ( and even "A") lenses are lacking
And only the K/Ms have that. Yes, there are
SOME later lenses I would want for optical qualities
That were not made in K/M but those are few and far
Between and not in the focal lengths I use often.

Can't you understand that K/M lenses are supported by Pentax DSLRs?

Certainly if you don't have any K/M lenses, then they may be slightly 
less desirable because of the one small extra step required to meter 
with them. However, they are far less desirable than newer lenses for a 
lot of other reasons.
