Obviously as sensor pixel areas rises there is an accompanying
advantage in signal to noise ratio and subsequently sensor exposure
latitude. So the better the sensor the more advantageous sampling with
22 bit precision becomes. If the system provides the advantages
suggested then they'd be foolish not to implement it in future
cameras. However the crux of the discussion here is of course
regarding the validity of peddling the significance of a 22 bit ADC in
a system that's really very unlikely to even use a fraction of its
capabilities.
