Sensor limitations are nil to do with Pentax innovations, silicon
sensors by their nature are limited by how much they can be improved
beyond the current status quo. The integration of the new 22 bit ADC
and processor is hopefully an innovation however it can't produce
miracles either.

I know from drawing/painting in a paint program there is a big different 
between a 16 bit file and a 8 bit file when it comes to color choices, so maybe

think those extra four bits will do more than you do.
