Folks, please...trim the trailers and the second- and third-generation
original messages off your replies. Lots of you don't take the Digest, but
for those of us who do, the endless trailers on short messages make it
considerably harder to read the PDML...or, if not exactly "harder," then at
least considerably less enjoyable. Now that not all the repeat messages are
set off by indents or carrots at the beginning of each line, it's often
tough to tell at a glance what's a new message and what's an old one.
Also, this habit makes the Digests appear too often. Sometimes I get four
Digests a day, when the original material in all four of them could have
been compressed into one...if only people would be more considerate.
Friends, have a heart! Take it easier on us Digest-readers. Thank you.
