If you trim enough of it, then it isn't a problem.  You don't have to
scroll to read this line, do you?  And it's obvious what I'm referring
to.

Of course people have been so brainwashed by the 'Outlook Way' that
some just can't follow the traditional method of quoting.  

When I say traditional, There was almost 20 to 25 years of precedent
in quoting style before Microsoft came along and insisted on the
top-quoting style.

Yes it is.  Simple basic good manners.  Something which is nice to
come across, even though it seems rarer and rarer these days.
