This presumes that there is a significant number of pro photographers out there using Pentax DSLRs in the first place. The pro world has moved past the level of automation that K/M lenses allow, even with full support. If a K/M lens is too slow to operate because of the metering routine, then one would be better advised to go with a lens that provides a greater level of automation than a K/M lens can support.
