The lenses are usable on an optical adaptor at the moment, it stands to 
reason that the lens can be used as a manual diaphragm lens.
The adaptor available doesn't appear to have any moving parts.

Through all this, you have studiously ignored the other option Canon 
had, which was to continue support of FD lenses by continuing to make FD 
bodies.
Minolta did this with MD mount cameras well after the introduction of 
the MAxxum.
Canon chose another path, the one where the customer pretty much gets 
shafter.

You are also avoiding your previous statement regarding long term 
support of lenses being of the greatest importance, and in fact, you 
have said you would consider buying a camera from a company that has a 
history of dropping support for their customers.
