In general for wideangle: harder to make than a 50. So either optically worse, more expensive or both. Quite a bit larger as well... More to the point: Boz lists details for an M35/1.4. When compared to the M50/1.4 you see three more elements, two more groups, more complicated construction, much larger and almost twice as heavy...
