Gotta keep them separate. Film fixing by-products can be detrimental to
the longevity of prints. Also, if you use hardener in film fixer it
would make prints resistant to washing and difficult to retouch, as the
retouching dye would not penetrate the hardened gelatin very well. Most
times my film and paper fixers are made to different strengths, anyway.
