I've been more than happy with my Sigma 500 flash. It's dead now, but 
I'll bet they'll fix it and have it back to me in short order. When I 
sent it in for the K100D upgrade, it was back in my hands in one week. 
I've shot literally thousands of pics with it on the D. It's a good 
unit.
