Mac are Intel chips now. They boot Windows XP, and would probably boot Vista. Though saying that, I would not touch Vista for at least another six months. Let the bugs get fleshed out, and wait until Microsoft issues Service Pack 1 at least. As far as 64-bit dual core chips. At this point, the best bang-for-the-buck in desktop processors is the Intel Core 2 Duo series. Maybe AMD will revamp their line soon and take the lead again, but the Core 2 Duos are still nice processors, and are much less "kludgy" than the Pentium 4 series were. The bigger question: What would you be doing that would require 64-bit Windows? Not all the device drivers are there yet, and 99% of the software is still 32-bit. I tend to err on the side of sit-back-and-wait on stuff like this, until it's better supported by the software vendors. -Mat -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
