Well, neither has Bob S. been by those that he now announces his wish to attack on.
But nevertheless, right or wrong, they actually, according to their political (and 
religious) views and interpretation of historic events, regard the U.S. responsible 
for both injuring and damaging people as well as spreading "evil" in a similar sense 
that many of us now think that they are doing. Reasoning along the lines of those now 
put forward by Bob S. they justify actions like this. "no mercy for their families, 
for their relatives or for their sympathizers [(which by (their) definition is the 
people of the U.S.)]".
And, according to their thinking, God is with them and will grant them heavenly grace 
and immortal heroic status as martyrs on earth.

(It was just an observation.)
