It was at the Free Trade Hall that I saw Kraftwerk. > > The most recent concert I went to, a month or two back, was > also "Dark Side of the Moon" - this time just Roger Waters > of the original band, but ably supported by an excellent > lineup (including P.P. "Angel of the Morning" Arnold). > I saw Pink Floyd on the Dark Side of the Moon tour at Trentham Gardens, Stoke in 1973 or 4. That may have been the best concert I ever saw, but Leonard Cohen in 1979 was great too. I was a big Pink Floyd fan from about 1970 until 1976 when punk came along. Then about 2 years ago I got one of the DSOTM songs in my head and couldn't get it out, so I bought the album again and listened to it for the first time in almost 30 years. Then about 2 weeks ago the same thing happened with Echoes, so I bought it and listened again after at least 30 years. Interesting how much I still remembered, and how much I'd forgotten. Dave Gilmour and David Bowie have recently done a cover of Arnold Layne. I still have original vinyl LPs of Syd Barrett's albums. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JyKZlAq0Os The last concert I went to was S Club 7's farewell...
