I did just now. Pentax K10D, FA 50mm f1.4, f5.6 @ 1/60, ISO 100, AF-540 FGZ (~111 kb) <http://www.arach.net.au/~savage/Misc/Images/_IGP0196.jpg> Pentax K10D, FA 50mm f1.4, f5.6 @ 1/60, ISO 100, AF-500 FTZ (~160 kb) <http://www.arach.net.au/~savage/Misc/Images/_IGP0195.jpg> Both shots the flash was pointing straight at the subject. No compensation of any kind & no post processing other than convert to sRGB & downsize (EXIF data included). The K10D doesn't do TTL flash metering. This samples proves that the 500 fires at full power.
