Yes. AFAIK there are several methods. The one I use is for a half-press
to initiate AE, AF and IS, and if necessary, to stop AF by pressing an
assignable thumb-button. This, so I can tweak focus manually or simply
focus without AF.

Some people have this assigned the other way around, so that the shutter
half-press initiates AE and AF, but it takes a further press with the
thumb to get IS going.

In any case, to stop IS, releasing the shutter does this, but there's a
short delay of around 1 second.
