I'm sticking with my primes. I got the 16-45/4 because when I got the *ist D I didn't have any lenses wider than 28mm, and that was an old beat up "K" Sigma 28/2.8. The next widest was the F 35-70/4-5.6. So I needed something that would still be wide after the cropping of the smaller format sensor.
