Hello Shel, I'm wondering if you are mistaking DOF focus for blur. At 600mm, there is not a lot of DOF especially at that distance. But I can see individual hairs on the spider's body and the legs are all clear, rather than blurred. Since it is taken on an angle from the web, the plane of focus will cause the web to get further and further out of focus. Is that what you are seeing?
