I still have a few ( Chrome and (2) Black ). Yes, it's an excellent mechanical body and highly reliable. I have seen more than a few where the little mirror/window for viewing the lens aperture setting goes whacko, but other than that, very very good. The KX is one of my favorite Pentax bodies. And yes, the black ones are awesome looking....One of my black ones is stone mint like new and I dont dare use it! jco

Is it as reliable (meter, durability) as the K1000, please? I miss having a fully manual no nonsence Pentax film body, since I sold my K1000. The Black KX's is quite pleasing to the eye.
