I share your sentiments. This is why I still run a CRT and just bought 10-yo speakers to match my existing ones for a 3.0 sound system. It's also one of the reasons why I use film. However, TTL was reportedly not easy to implement well on digital, so it had to go. Shoot film, be happy!
