Thanks.  I figured out to use the Activity Monitor  
(Applications>Utilities>Activity Monitor) to locate it and shut it  
off.  Got CS3 working.

I still don't have a clue what TWAINBridge was doing, since  
everything seems to work fine with it turned off.  Printers and  
scanners work.
