Here are a few things *I* don't want to be held responsible for: --lunatics who think a good response to despair is to go shoot up a playground or a McDonalds --The manufacturing plant on the outskirts of my town that operates at night so people can't see how much pollution it's pouring into our air. The air outside smells bad many early mornings. --pornography on the internet --Columbine --trash TV (couldn't some nice Arab just kill Jerry Springer, please? :-) --white supremacists --Lincoln Navigators --America's "straw dog" policies abroad--any policy whereby we essentially trample on the rights of a people or a population for the sake of furthering our own strategic interests --anything called "nuclear" except families --Rush Limbaugh (or maybe that's redundant--see "trash TV" above) --rap --Bill Clinton's disgraceful sexual peccadillos My point is, if anyone wants to bomb ME for any of those things, I don't think that's fair. I don't approve of or agree with any of those things. And, for the most part, I can't do anything about those things. How many ordinary Afganistanis do we honestly think have a say over whether bin Laden hides out in the desert or not? Even the Sudanese kicked the sick bastard out. It's like blaming Montanans for the Unabomber. Isn't killing people for sins for which they actually have no blame or control exactly what the terrorists did in New York?
