San Francisco has a different climate than the East Bay. July is usually wet and foggy in SF, but many parts of the East Bay can often be sunny and warm at that time of year. San Francisco is often quite sunny in the fall and early winter months, and parts of the city, such as the Mission District, rarely suffer the July fog and cold as do other parts of the city.
