An interesting question (not mine) taken from PhotoNet:
"I operate a portrait/wedding biz in my spare time and have been eyeing the
pentax 645n for the last 3 years. Yes, I am a procrastinator!! I suppose the
slow 1/60 flash sync has been the major drawback for me. I see that pentax is
offering 200/250 dlr rebates on the Body/outfit at this time and one retailer
has advertised it as discontinued!! Does anyone have any idea if pentax is
going to either deep six this baby or are we going to be seeing an upgrade.
Seems to me the rebates pentax is offering is either to spur sales or to
eliminate excess stock. Any Thoughts??"
