That's merely the result of too small a sample here on the list. I would guess our (US) population is split about 60/40, with 60 percent believing that human activity is in large part the cause of global warming. LIke Bill, I find that politics enter into the argument so powerfully on both sides, that it becomes difficult to determine what is fact and what is not. I heard a news item on the CBC the other day. A bit of background, the CBC is notorious for taking whatever opportunities it can to fire a broadside or two at our southern neighbours. So, this news report was about the Kyoto accord, and how the big bad USA was refusing to sign it. They went on to report that the "Made in USA" solution was actually more stringent than the Kyoto agreement and that the Americans were ahead of just about every one else regarding decreasing greenhouse gas emissions.
