I just returned home from another day's visit to SF carrying the K10D
fitted with FA20-35. Yes, it's larger than the *ist DS and a bit
heavier, but now that my hands have gotten used to it I find it an
absolute pleasure to use.

I made about forty-fifty exposures today, all in RAW/DNG format. The
exposure from the metering system is both more consistent and closer
to the mark for what I want in RAW exposures compared to the DS. I
typically need to dial in +0.3 to +0.7 EV compensation on almost all
DS exposures, with this camera I find myself hovering between 0 and
+0.3 EV compensation most of the time.

Snapping a portrait series of my friend in the city points out
immediately the better performance of the camera. I can shoot like I
used to with the Nikon F3/T and MD-4 motor drive, and 3x longer
without needing to reload with a 2G card.

Happy. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
