Set the K10D to produce DNG format RAW files. Camera Raw v2.4 and later can handle them without any problems. You can then run the DNGs through DNG Converter and obtain the benefit of lossless compression, save about 40-50% on file size per RAW file. Some people don't like the defaults set in ACR or Lightroom and have produced calibrations. I tried those and found that I did better ignoring them and working the files on my own.
