Hey, when I was growing up we did not even use the phone to call our neighbors, it was cheaper to walk down the street. A local phone call cost a dime for 3 minutes, didn't matter if it was your phone or a pay phone. 10 cents please. BTW, that dime would buy a cup of coffee or a bottle of Coke anywhere back then. You could even get a hamburger for a dime, but it was a small hamburger, normal ones were 15 cents.
