Melt some really good quality dark chocolate (70%+ cocoa content) in full cream milk with a few of drops of vanilla in a saucepan (don't boil the milk). Stir constantly until the chocolate has melted.
For variety add some Cinnamon, nutmeg or some finely chopped fresh chili (I haven't tried this one yet, I've only read about it).
