Indeed!  It amazes me how many people on photo lists look at the
numbers garnered from test results and make buying decisions based on
those numbers.  Most of the time they don't even know how those
numbers were arrived at.  As an example, Erwin Puts, the Leica Lens
Maven, has been writing about the optical qualities of various lenses
for a long time, even comparing lenses, but I've never seen a
photograph showing the qualities and differences that he discusses. 
Yet he is held in high esteem by numerous Leicaphiles - FEH!
