If you shoot RAW/DNG with your K10D you'll be able to use ACR to proces the files. The only downside is that the DNG files are larger than PEFs because they're not compressed. However, if you want to compress them for storage, you can do so with the Adobe DNG converter. I don't bother, but may do so when I start running out of disk space:-).
