well, as a matter of fact I dropped all sciences as soon as I could at
school - aged 13 - in favour of languages. I only took maths because I
had no choice, and I failed my O-level (exam at age 15) once before
scraping through the 2nd time. I was in my 30s before I overcame my
priest-induced maths phobia, but I now have a postgrad qualification
(with merit!) in discrete mathematics.
