You and I and William Robb for that matter are using the same card reader. Mine is SD IM 12-in-1... You see, I am using this very cable for quite some time and it is very strange that for all other devices including CF slot of the same reader it works, while on SD cards it does not. I am afraid what mr. Robb suggested may be correct.
