Set your K10D to output RAW/DNG files for the most options.

- Photoshop Elements will work with them using any version of the
Camera Raw plug-in past version 2.4. The current version of Camera
Raw is v3.6. Street price around $80.

- Adobe Lightroom v4.1 beta works with them beautifully ... I'm using
it more and more, and the results are terrific. Currently free while
in beta, I estimate a price around $200 when it is released.

- LightZone works well ... unusual but easy to learn/use interface,
some very interesting tools and capabilities. Not too expensive.

- RAW Developer (Mac OS X only) does an excellent job and can work
with both the DNG and PEF files.

- Bibble has a version that works with K10D RAW files now, not sure
whether DNG only or DNG and PEF.

- Pentax Photo Browser/Lab v3.1 can do a decent job, but usability is
almost as bad as Silkypix (at least on Mac OS X).

- Silkypix also works with both PEF and DNG files. A number of people
prefer its rendering, I find that using it is brain numbingly
frustrating.

My production system is based on Photoshop CS2 + Bridge + Camera Raw
v3.6 at present. I'm experimenting with the Photoshop CS3 beta suite
as well as Lightroom 4.1 beta ... the more I use it, the more I like
Lightroom, but Photoshop CS2/3 does some things that I haven't yet
found a good way to automate with Lightroom.
