My route was to go to "START" and click on "Control Panel". From there click "Add/Remove Programs". Will take a moment, but your program list will 'populate' the screen in alphabetical order. Seems to me it appeared as "Windows Internet Explorer". Click it and you will be given an option to remove. Once removed, my system reverted to IE6 as it did with that of my webmaster. He has actually has begun using Netscape and recommends it.
