First, I have to give credit where its due. So thanks to John and
Alan, from who I got the idea (John, how is the spotmetering in your
modified ZX5n/MZ5n with the MZ/ZX-M screen? Does it work ok or not?).

Thanks also to Gianfranco, Alan and Bob S. who measured their screens
for me :)

AFAIK during the coarse tests, I cannot find any exposure difference
between SFXn and MZ-M (C74) screen. They read the same exposure
(centerweight metering). What is interesting, the original screen
matte is slightly better than the MZ-M screen matte for low-light
focusing. but MZ-M screen has the split-aid among microprism collar which works
even better and more accurately. Sometimes I can return to old screen for some
lenses where its better.

Gianfranco, I think the Nikon metered gave the scene 1/3-1/2 stop less
exposure relative to SFXn with MZ-M screen, but that may well be due
to metering angle/reflectance angle/matrix metering and other
differences. It was only a quick test (twas dark outside or I would
have tested using sunny f/16 and not comparing to Nikon)

I am sorry but I didn't ask the part number. The C74 is written on the
screen's little tab, but it's not related to part number, it only
confused the repair man. So I guess you will have to just ask for
ZX-M/MZ-M screen. If they are reluctant to give it to you tell them you want to try it
in an old camera they no longer service (this should placate them)
like MX and that it's your money.

The Mz-M screen is so better than older split-screens I used I am
wondering about possibility of putting it into my K2DMD. It doesn't
have interchangeable screens though, and I don't know if one has to
remove whole mirror box to get at the screen or not. Anybody tried it?
The tab would have to be ground off obviously, but otherwise?
