The DSLRS are high image quality if you compare them to cheap mass market digital p&s cameras that were being discussed in the thread. In absolute terms, no, they are not even close to 4x5 or 8x10 formats, both of which I still have systems and dont plan abandoning soon until SLR digital gets much better and at a price I can still afford. ( although I may sell my 5x7! ).
