I took my driving test in a Morris Minor! When I was learning to drive my parents had two cars - a Ford Cortina (the original 1963 model) and a Morris Minor Traveller (AKA a half-timbered car). The modifications to the driving school car (a Vauxhall Viva) for dual controls made it uncomfortable to drive, so I decided I'd be much happier in a car with decent pedal placement. This was a little inconvenient for my mother (whose car it was), as she had to drive over from her workplace to where I was taking the test (some 15 miles) at lunchtime and take the train back, leaving the car with me. I was told that I'd better pass, because I had to drive over and pick her up after school. Some five years later that same car became the first car that I owned. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
