I still use ACR 2 on one of my main photography computer. Works fine with DNG files. I have ACR 3 on my work computer. It offers more flexibility in RAW conversion with its curves function, but I can still produce identical results with ACR2 and PSCS. Just have to work in a slightly different and perhaps somewhat more complicated way. (Generally, this just means an additional Curves adjustment or two after the file is opened in PSCS.)
