Thanks, Paul.
Well, I only have one card, one battery and no remote at the moment!
(I'll get the grip and battery next week, I believe).

I geuss that two of each is just fine with me :-)

I like the idea of charging them both at the same time, though - meaning I'm
always "dressed-up" for any event!
My only problem now is getting the meter adjusted properly:

Have anybody else noticed any tendency of the K10D over reaction to back-lit
scenery or bright skies?

BTW:
I think the *ist D did all this (matrix stuff) just about right! An old
Pentax-virtue, really!

I keep two batteries in my K10D all the time. No problems. But I always
swap out both batteries at the same time. So I have four all together:
two in the camera and two backup. Changing one and not the other is
probably a bad idea. BTW, I always use two sets of batteries in the D
with no problems. The trick is to start them both fully charged and
change all of them when they become weak. With the D, I get about 2200
exposures on eight AA lithiums. Since the D is now my backup, the
batteries that are currently in there will probably last until it gets
replaced by the K1D.

Speaking of the D-BG 2, another great feature is the storage
compartment for the IR remote and an extra SD card. You can't lose 'em
that way.
