I am not sure many of you are aware of the PENTAX Photo Annuals which
include a great collection of PENTAX images. These annuals only come
out once a year. PENTAX wanted to come up with something more timely in
this digital age. We are currently collecting images from PENTAX
photographers around the world to create the PENTAX Photo Gallery web
site. This site (www.pentaxphotogallery.com) will allow select
photographers to share their images in this online gallery. The gallery
is still a work in progress and we need your support in gathering more
of the best PENTAX images.

Each photographer on the site will have a bio page which will show all
their images. The pictures can also be searched by category, lens, and
camera body. Photographers and images will be selected on their merits.
Pentax knows that there are many good photographers, but we want to
highlight the best images to show what our cameras and lenses are
capable of. Not all images and photographers will be selected (I have
already had some of my own turned down that I thought were great
shots:).

The submitting photographer retains rights to all images submitted. The
final site will be "Flash" based which means the images can not be
downloaded, and each image will be watermarked with the copyright symbol
and photographers name (this is done automatically - please check the
submission rules and terms and conditions for any questions at
www.pentaxphotogallery.com/artist).

This is a pretty unique opportunity for PENTAX photographers to share
their work and look at what can be accomplished with PENTAX cameras and
lenses. We would like to officially announce the site at PMA in March,
but need more images than we currently have.

If you are interested in applying and submitting images, please send a
request to [EMAIL PROTECTED] to receive your unique artist log-in
code. This e-mail address is strictly for requesting the log-in and for
questions pertaining to the photo gallery. All other questions and
requests will be deleted.
