Being able to click the photo to go to the previous photo is nice. I personally prefer nav buttons that are in exactly the same place on every page. I like not having to scroll or move the mouse to get to them. However, a simple template like the one you've chosen is very nice. If it were mine, I'd be tempted to not change it at all.
