I had a "dim area" for couple of years. Could only use it late at night. Made very few prints in the summer. A couple of years ago 4x5 enlargers were very surplus. Today is has leveled out some and they're not as free as they were. There's all sorts of creative thinks one can do with a camera on a copy stand. Was it a Graflite light source for the back of a Crown Graphic? Shop craigslist.org or freecycle or the other give-away places. They're good sources for stuff.
