I downloaded the LR v.1.0 trial, and it's much faster on my G4 Powerbook 1.33 with 1.25GB RAM than the v.4.1 beta. I placed my order with the education store (expensive shipping!!). I have to submit some proof of my employment with an academic institution. Will do that soon.
