This is one case where I prefer the colour version: the inclusion of the red 
lifebelts brings the whole composition to life, and the subtle blues of the 
ice are wonderful.
I would attempt to correct the perspective, though.
My wife commented, on seeing the mono shot, that she couldn't work out what 
the dark blob in the middle of the frame was!
