NOPE- 36MP would not be "way too much" for excellent (but not
even the very best) FF 35mm lenses. I estimate that 24
mp would still be useful for APS and 50Mp for FF. these are
the kinds of numbers needed ( maybe more )to show the full details in
the image with no visible digitizing artifacts (primarily jaggies on
slight diagonals)

36MP sounds like the 645D. It's way too much for any current 35mm
lenses.
