At www.Photodo.com one can read:

Manufacturer's Description: "The unique smc P-FA zoom 250-600mm F5.6 lens
provides a moderately long zoom to extremely long zoom range. It features a
fixed aperture setting of 5.6 throughout the zoom range and uses a 43mm rear
filter. An internal focusing system ensures faster and smoother focusing
while a high-refraction extra low dispersion (ED) glass element produces
high-resolution, high-contrast images with true-to-life color rendition.
This lens is great for capturing candid shots from a distance."

Wasn't this lens originally designed for baseball?
I didn't know it had a fixed aperture @ 5.6!

Emne: Pentax FA*250-600/5.6 - Anyone Enabled?

Would anyone happen to be lucky enough to posess or even have the
chance to test out the legendary FA*250-600/5.6 Mega Zoom from Pentax?
I'm seriously considering obtaining one I've located, but the jury is
still out on whether it will perform on digital in the same leaque as
its little cousins FA*80-200/2.8 and FA* 28-70/2.8. The price is
right (so to speak) at slightly over 3K, but I still have questions.

Thanks,
JayT
